Born on January 9, 1974, Omari Latif Hardwick is an American actor best known for playing James “Ghost” St. Patrick in Starz’s Power and Vanderohe in Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead (2021). He is also well-known for his parts in the films Saved, Dark Blue, Kick-Ass, Tyler Perry’s For Colored Girls, Miracle at St. Anna (2008), and Being Mary Jane on the BET Network.

He spent two years training as a fireman and paramedic for his role in Saved. Hardwick co-starred in the science fiction comedy film Sorry to Bother You, released on July 6, 2018.

In the 2000s, Hardwick started dating Jennifer “Jae” Pfautch. Pfautch, who is of German and Native American ancestry, was later excommunicated by her family for dating someone of another race.  The couple’s first child was stillborn in 2008. The actor also lost his brother Malik Hardwick and sister Shani Hardwick after losing his baby. Daughter Nova and son Brave are Omari and Jennifer’s two children; they were married in June 2012.
